Mt. St. Helens Fishing Derby

June 2016 - The fishing derby takes place at Merwin Park, 12 miles east of Woodland and is a joint effort of the Department of Fish and Wildlife, Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, Pacific Power, and Camas Moose Lodge. Great event for the whole family. Rain held off until it was over - Click here for more pictures.

Library Book Sale

Friends of Woodland Community Library will hold a book sale on Friday, June 17th (10am-4pm) and Saturday, June 18th (10am-2pm). It will be held in the Woodland Community Center, 782 Park Street, across from the Woodland Middle School and next to the Woodland Community Library.

On Saturday, there will be a bag sale from noon to 1pm. Fill one of our grocery bags for only $5.

Prices for children's books range from 25˘ to $1. Most other books are $1. All media items are 2 for $1. We have material for homeschooling, many children’s books, and 'nostalgia' books.

The book sale will fund library activities and support a future library.

The Ball hosted 1,006 in attendance including volunteers, with the youngest "Princess" being 3 weeks old and the oldest Father 81. Spirit Lake Outlet Tunnel Scheduled for Repair

PORTLAND, Ore. - September 25, 2015 – The U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are pleased to announce the awarding of a contract to repair the Spirit Lake Outlet Tunnel near Mount St. Helens on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Woodland and Inovus Solar to Build Community Solar Project

August 7, 2015, Woodland, Wash. – Mayor Grover Laseke today announced that the City of Woodland has approved a community solar project with Inovus Solar. The vote by the city council makes Woodland home to the second community solar project in Western Washington offered at zero cost to residents. Developed by Inovus as part of its mission to make the benefits of solar accessible to everyone, the approximately 70 kW project will provide solar energy and savings to approximately 50 local residents, businesses and nonprofits selected to participate in the project, which will be built this fall pending state approval...read more

Grange Gala & Dessert Raffle

Friday May 29 @ the Woodland Grange - 404 Davidson Woodland Washington 98674.

This will be a fun event with local musical talent performing for you! Tickets to this event are on sale now! $10 or more as inspiration guides you. Ticket outlets are: Woodland's Visitor Center, Lewis River Dental & Woodland Yoga & Zumba @ the Grange during class times.

We will also have a dessert raffle! Raffle tickets will be sold the night of the Gala: $1 each or $5 for six, $10 for twelve, $20 for twenty five tickets! Calories do not count for these desserts! ; )

Doors open at 6:30 to purchase raffle tickets and view desserts. Show begins @ 7:00-8:30 ~ raffle winners announced immediately following. Must be present to win! Seating is limited!
