I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your wonderful web site featuring the history of Woodland and the Lewis River Valley.

I was amazed to discover that my Great, Great Grandfather Leopold Hopf was the first Mayor of Woodland, Washington. I knew he was a Notary Public and Justice of the peace, but I never knew that he was also an Insurance Agent and that their was even a Hopf Hotel for sometime. I understand that it eventually became the Grange and was wondering if it still is?
