It is with great pleasure that the City of Woodland wishes to announce the appointment of Elaine Huber to Public Works Director for the City of Woodland. The City Council confirmed her appointment at the November 6th regular council meeting.
Ms. Huber currently works at the City of Vancouver as a Civil Engineer. She is a registered Professional Engineer with the State of Washington and also a Washington State certified drinking water operator (WDM-2). Her education includes a Bachelor of Science at University of Washington and continued education towards her MBA at WSU-Vancouver. She was also a Lt. at USNR-Civil Engineer Corps from 1986 to 1990.
She brings a wealth of knowledge to the position and to the City of Woodland. Her experience includes drinking water, development review, capital project design for water and wastewater; experience with the US Forest Service in road, bridges, campgrounds and facilities, design and contract administration.

At the City Council meeting on October 16, 2006 Bruce Summers received a big thank you from Mayor Monge on behalf of all the citizens of Woodland. Bruce said it would be cool if all the citizens could take a turn on the City Council. Thanks a lot Bruce. Click here for more pictures.
Marilee McCall was appointed to the open position 3 on the City Council on Monday evening, October 2, 2006. The position became open when Bruce Summers resigned. Click here for more pictures.
A special City Council meeting was held in Horseshoe Lake Park to seek questions about the proposed Pool and Recreation building. About one hundred people attended and questions were asked and opinions stated for and against the pool being at the park. The meeting was held on September 25, 2006 at 7 pm. Christine Randall was appointed to the Woodland Planning Commission at the Woodland City Council meeting on February 27, 2006. She was appointed to an unexpired term ending January 2, 2007. The regular term of office is six years. Congratulations!
Erica Rainford and Darwin Rounds were sworn in as City Council members at the December 19, 2005 meeting by City Attorney Paul Brachvogel.
At the City Council meeting on January 3, 2006 Bruce Summers and John "JJ" Burke were sworn in by Mayor Doug Monge. Carol Rounds was presented with a certificate of appreciation for her service on the City Council and Darwin Rounds was presented with an award for his service on the Woodland Planning Commission. New Woodland Police Officer, Robb Lipp
At the City Council meeting on Monday, August 16, 2004, Woodland Chief of Police Rob Stephenson administered the oath of office to new Woodland Police Officer Robb Lipp. Relatives and friends of Robb Lipp attended the meeting to congratulate Robb.
