![]() Mount St. Helens Institute Introduces Free Snowshoeing AdventuresPlease join us on one or more of these fun outings! The Mount St. Helens Institute is pleased to add snowshoeing adventures to its successful Sunday Hikes program. All ages are invited to join us for these free, fun and healthful activities. The snowshoeing trips are offered at sno-parks and sites on and around Mount St. Helens. The trips are moderate to difficult, and cover 4 to 7 miles roundtrip. Space is limited so call 360-449-7883 to make a reservation. All mileage listed is round trip. Trips and locations are as follows:
Trips are open to all ages but minors must be accompanied by an adult. Trips are free however, there is a suggested donation of $5.00 per person. Equipment not provided. The Mount St. Helens Institute is dedicated to helping people of all ages gain an understanding of the natural processes and cultural heritage of the Pacific Northwest's volcanic landscapes. The Institute offers conservation and science education through a variety of volunteer projects including Volcano Volunteers (trained interpreters), Mountain Stewards (climbing and backcountry volunteers) and Conservation projects designed to preserve and promote access to Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument.
