La Center & Ridgefield City Councils & the Board of Clark County Commissioners. This was a very positive meeting of the parties, in which La Center and Ridgefield outlined their vision for the future. Everyone will work toward coordinated planning and support. It was stated that goals could be accomplished by working together, having an open dialogue, and involving the public at all steps.
A retirement party for Deputy Ridgefield City Clerk, Barbara Charbonneau was held in the Ridgefield Community Center on January 28, 2005. Many of her friends attended and everyone had a wonderful time. The feelings people had for her were very apparent. Congratulations Barbara. Enjoy a wonderful retirement. You certainly earned it. Tim Dawdy put on a skit that had everyone laughing until it hurt.
The City Council meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm except they meet on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of November & December.

Ridgefield has a Council/Manager form of government. Gladys Doriot was chosen Mayor. Council member Gary Holmberg was chosen as Mayor pro-tem.

The League of Women Voters sponsored public debates between candidates running for Ridgefield City Council and also between candidates running for the Ridgefield School Board.
