Quilters Anonymous is a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to preserving the heritage of quilting and promoting excellence and education in needle craft. Founded in 1978, QA has more than 425 members in the Puget Sound region. The guild's charity projects include creating quilts for premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of University Hospital, Seattle. QA has donated more than 7,000 quilts to the hospital in this program.

Admission: $4 per person
There will be approximately 300 quilts on display. The public gets to vote for their favorite quilts in each category on Thursday and Friday. Ribbons for the winners are displayed on the quilts on Saturday. In addition to the display quilts, we will also have a bazaar, a silent small-quilt auction, a charity quilt that you can buy raffle tickets for ($1 each), and 20 quilt related vendors to shop at. Approximately 200 Quilts will be on display as well as quilted articles such as clothing, table runners and Christmas tree skirts. Patrons will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite quilt or quilted items for Viewer's Choice awards. We will also have technique demonstrations, a merchant's mall and in honor of our 25th Anniversary, special history of our guild quilts and displays.

Labor Day Quilt Show

A featured quilter for this year's show is 85 year old Lois Auer Rodal, who created many beautiful quilts during her 67 years as a Cathlamet resident. She will be displaying about a dozen quilts. Admission is by donation. Funds received will help defray expenses of the Stripper's "Comfort Quilts", which are stitched for ill and suffering area residents.
Other Labor Day festivities in Cathlamet include the September 3rd "Buzzard's Breath" Chili Cook-Off and open house at the Wahkiakum County Museum. The Museum will raffle a Regulator School Clock from the old Sunny Grove School (1912-1924) in the Elochoman Valley.
Many Cathlamet shops will also be open for the weekend, yacht clubs will be at the Marina, and the scenery is always wonderful.
Directions to the exhibit–
From I-5: Take Exit #39 to Longview. Cross the bridge from Kelso to Longview. Stay to the right to get onto Ocean Beach Highway (State Route 4). Cathlamet is about 25 miles west of Longview. A left turn into the town will take you to Main Street.
From the Beach: Cathlamet is approximately 50 miles east on Ocean Beach Highway (State Route 4). Turn right into town.
