Parking: Free, buses welcome
Directions: From I5 go east on Hwy 2 to 179th Ave SE, from 522 go west on Hwy 2 to 179th Ave SE. The Evergreen State Fairgrounds is located just west of downtown Monroe.

  • Featured Artist - Everett quilter Lois Nay's retrospective of her more than 20 years of quilting.
  • The "Teapot Series" - Award winning original designs by Seattle quilter Virginia Anderson, based on her extensive collection of antique and decorative teapots.
  • The Hoffman Challenge - A traveling exhibit of elaborate art quilts from national competition sponsored by the Hoffman Fabric Company.
  • Japanese Manhole Cover Quilts - Art quilts created and based on the unique designs that appear on the manhole covers in Japan.
  • Demonstrations - Quilters Anonymous members will demonstrate many quilting techniques.
  • Merchant Mall - More than 30 vendors with the latest in fabrics, patterns, quilting tools and goods for the needle arts.
  • Community Service area – Public participation in sewing charity quilts; includes kids’ activity area.
The show presents more than 400 quilts created by members of Quilters Anonymous, oldest and largest quilting guild in the Puget Sound region. Many different techniques are shown, including hand and machine quilting, appliqué, traditional patchwork piecing, embellishments (beads and buttons) and fused materials.

Quilters Anonymous is a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to preserving the heritage of quilting and promoting excellence and education in needle craft. Founded in 1978, QA has more than 425 members in the Puget Sound region. The guild's charity projects include creating quilts for premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of University Hospital, Seattle. QA has donated more than 7,000 quilts to the hospital in this program.

Quilt Walk
Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Sanctioned Event
Downtown Anacortes, Washington will host the 8thannual Fidalgo Island Quilter's quilt walk April 1-30. Quilts are displayed in 40downtown Anacortes stores. Hours vary. Maps are available at the Anacortes Visitor Center, The Quilt Shop, and participating merchants. Look for the Tulip Sign in merchants' windows.

22nd Annual Fidalgo Island Quilters' Quilt Show
"My Island Village"
Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 10am-5pm
Anacortes Middle School, 22nd and "M" Avenue.
The show is open to the public and includes quilt displays, wearable art, demonstrations, tea room, and a large merchant mall. Wearable Style Show, Saturday at 11:00am featuring more than 50 original designs by Guild members. The 2004 Raffle Quilt demonstrates this year's theme, "My Island Village".

St. James Family Center in Cathlamet will be having an antique sale and showing of antique quilts this same weekend. Their hours are the same, except that they will not be open until noon on Sunday. There will be several dealers in addition to individually owned antiques.

Spaziergang durch Quilts in Leavenworth (Meander through Quilts in Leavenworth) FAMILIES EREIQNISE AND PRODUKTIONS VON LEAVENWORTH, will be hosting the 9th annual Quilt Show in Leavenworth, WA.
Quilts will be displayed all though the village and it's free admission on the 7th, 8th, and 9th. Meandering Show hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. The Grand Showing will be September 10, 11, & 12, 2004 with $5.00 admission. The quilts come from all over the United States and Canada. Antique quilts and new quilts, wearable clothing, Fiber Art and youth quilts will all be on display. Grand Showing hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Friday and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Sunday.
Workshops will held September 10, 11, & 12 2004.
