An Open House at the National Weather Service - 5241 NE 122nd, Portland, OR. - was held on Saturday, October 9, 2004 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Visitors were able to learn how the forecasts are put together and how the National Weather Service deals with severe weather and much more. It was cool to meet the people that forecast the weather. The event was well attended and much appreciated.
