Mt. St. Helens, Seismic Instruments

In the Equipment Center at Woodland Intermediate School gymnasium, crews picked up seismic instruments that will be deployed in advance of the first in a series of small charges being set off to image magma beneath St Helens between 0730 and 0800. This is being done so scientists can observe the magma very deep below Mt. St. Helens. Many volunteers are involved.
