The Woodland Rotory Club and the Oak Tree Restaurant teamed up to sponsor the John Denver Memorial Tribute fund raiser at the Oak Tree on March 4, 2011. All the money raised was for Woodland's newest park on Scott Hill. This is going to be a wonderful park with ball fields, picnic areas, trails etc. The event was sold out and raised nearly $5000.00. Ted Vigil, John Denver look alike, did an excellant job. The food was really good and it was a rousing good time for a good cause. Thanks to the Oak Tree and the Rotary Club. Ted Vigil will be performing at the Woodland Tulip Festival in April.
