 
Mt. Adams is that other mountain. Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens are two mountain peaks clearly visible from Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. Mt. Rainier practically reaches out to you when you travel I-5
to Seattle. Then there is that other peak that seems to be hiding from most of us. That is Mt. Adams.
The Lewis River has it's source on it's glacier fields. The best views of Mt. Adams are from the Trout Lake Valley. By driving up the Lewis River Road from Woodland, Washington and crossing over the bridge at Eagle Cliff park you can continue all the way to Trout Lake. It is a spectacular drive. You should plan on a whole day for this trip.
